Spokane Christian Counseling for Women

As women, we all have situations or circumstances in life when we feel lost, unable to cope, or are facing a problem that is too hard to handle alone and family and friends just aren't enough. Having someone experienced and trained, who also shares our faith in Christ, can make a vast difference in how we handle those times.

  • What is therapy?

Therapy is the process of solving unresolved personal issues by talking with a person professionally trained to help people with difficulties in their personal life and/or with relationships with others.  Therapy can provide you with a safe and confidential place of refuge to explore issues and walk toward growth, healing and well-being.

  • What is Christian therapy?

The distinguishing characteristic of Christian therapy is its reliance on, and trust in, a redeeming God who has the power to change and regenerate the human heart, mind and even the most seemingly hopeless scenarios.  Christ-centeredness and sound Biblical principles are incorporated into therapy sessions. Committed to the sufficiency of scripture as its foundation, Christian therapy seeks to look at human identity and problems from the perspective of the solid rock of God's word.

  • Why choose me?

Taking the step to seek help from a counselor you don't know can be difficult and intimidating.  Even though I am professionally trained, I, too, have experienced many of life's difficult and overwhelming situations. I am living proof that Jesus can take a person out of the pit and restore him/her to a fruitful, victorious and abundant life.

  • How can I help you?

I believe that God is the one who changes people.  I see myself not as the creator of change, but as an instrument in the hands of the One who can create change and regenerate a person's life and relationships, making all things new.  Through this faith and hope-filled perspective, I can provide therapy sessions for individuals, couples and families; offering help with problem-solving skills and enhanced coping strategies for life issues such as depression, anxiety, relationships, communication problems, grief and many more.
